The SentoClone method of adoptive immunotherapy was developed by leading doctors and scientists in Sweden. Clinical trials are continuing in this cutting-edge cancer therapy at SentoClone and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.

The SentoClone method activates and utilizes the body’s own immune system to combat cancer, using the body’s own lymphocytes (white blood cells). No adverse events have been observed.

How does it work?

After the tumor or metastasis has been surgically removed, the lymph nodes previously in contact with the tumor are also removed. These lymph nodes contain lymphocytes having the ability to ‘recognize’ the tumor. These lymphocytes are isolated, cultivated and sent to a ‘training camp’ in the laboratory. There they become more active and replicate in great numbers.

The activated lymphocytes are subsequently returned to the patient by means of a regular blood transfusion where they begin to hunt down and attack the tumor cells.

SentoClone has experience in the treatment of patients with colon cancer. In some patients, the course of the disease has been successfully arrested and some patients have been cured.
